At Imperium Chambers we had a lovely evening celebrating Jay Gajjar’s completion of his first six pupillage. I recall the first time I saw him which was at Tooks. He stood out then doing a mini pupillage. I recall having a particular piece of research and asked if he could assist. He was not only able to assist but was able to provide answers which made life much easier for us all.
He applied and was successful and has worked hard and has earned his spurs as it were and is now properly on his feet. A couple of Judge’s so far have asked who his supervisor is and I am happy to say that when he has mentioned my name (Paul Turner) they have not rolled their eyes. Indeed one Judge went as far as to say that I had done a good job training him.
I and the rest of the team at Imperium wish him the best of success in the remainder of his pupillage. He has spent a fair time doing immigration but is now branching out into commercial work.
I am sure he will surpass me and the other members of the team due to his hard work.
