Overview
Aryan Stedman is a barrister with 20 years of experience in the field of immigration, asylum and human rights law. Aryan started out at the Chambers of Ashe Lincoln QC at 9 King’s Bench Walk in the noughties and had a very busy practice for several years representing thousands of individuals in Tribunals, the High Court and Court of Appeal.
For the past 15 years Aryan has been employed by the Ministry of Justice as a Fee-paid Judge of the Social Entitlement Chamber (SEC) and continues to sit on Social Security Appeals.
In 2018 Aryan was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber. He regularly sits as a Judge at the Hatton Cross hearing centre and has dealt with hundreds of appeals including complex deportation and protection appeals, as well as the entire breadth of human rights appeals.
Since joining Chambers Aryan has rapidly built up a following of professional and direct access clients who regularly instruct him on a range of immigration matters from Judicial Review and Court of Appeal work through to working with a range of companies and organisations in their business immigration needs.
Aryan has many years of experience dealing with individuals with serious physical and mental health issues as a Judge of the SEC, and has significant expertise in immigration cases which involve mental health and vulnerability as well as cases of domestic violence. Aryan has a particular interest in human rights cases involving vulnerable persons.
Aryan has also developed a busy Family and Child Law practice and has appeared on a wide range of matters in the Courts and Court of Appeal. Aryan has an excellent track record in the Family Courts.
Aryan is a committed direct access barrister, believing that the best interests of clients are best served with a continuity of attention and care from the outset, and giving more people access to the justice they deserve.
Aryan is available to provide Immigration and Family law advice at any stage of proceedings and representation in the Tribunals and Courts.
