Overview
Charlotte is a paralegal at Imperium chambers, supporting members across a diverse immigration caseload.
She completed the Bar Practice Course in 2024 and holds both an LLM and LLB degree. Prior to joining Imperium, Charlotte gained experience as a corporate paralegal, barrister’s clerk at 7BR, family law legal advisor, and county court advocate, appearing in court four days a week. She was also trained in Direct Access work at 7BR. Her varied background has shaped her dynamic, analytical and compassionate approach to casework.
Charlotte has a particular interest in human rights law, focusing on the rights of detained asylum seekers and prisoners. She volunteers with StandOut charity, conducting CV workshops and mock interviews for inmates across London prisons, helping to prepare inmates for life after release. During the Bar Practice Course, she volunteered as a mentor in Gray’s Inn’s Vocalise scheme, leading debating workshops at HMP Pentonville, equipping attendees with skills in conflict resolution and public speaking. She continues to assist in the Education Department at HMP Pentonville regularly.
In addition, Charlotte has volunteered as a Duty Advocate in the family courts and has served as a judge for mooting competitions.
