Kiara McClelland

Kiara McClelland has been a Paralegal at Imperium Chambers since July 2026, joining the team while completing the Bar Practice Course. She is a member of Gray’s Inn and intends to practise at the Bar in the future.

Kiara has developed experience in human rights and asylum matters through her work with a number of pro bono legal clinics, as well as volunteering at the Samos Refugee Camp in 2025. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to access to justice and international human rights.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Warwick, which included a year of study at the University of Hong Kong, where she further developed her interest in international human rights law.

Outside of work, Kiara enjoys travelling and has visited countries across the world. She also spent two years living and travelling aboard the Logos Hope ship, an experience that deepened her interest in immigration work.
